Thankful for Cocktails and Coffee - Cheers from ss x bretlynshea
Hi Everyone!
Today I teamed up with one of my blogging friends who is also a real life friend...Bretlyn from @bretlynshea! We both started blogging around the same time and although she is in Seattle and I'm in Chicago, we have been wanting to do a joint post for a while. On the list of things we both love, fashion and drinking are pretty near to the top...so here goes -- Holiday Cocktail recipes to pair with those pretty holiday party outfits we've been talking about.

Gin-Berry Ale
This one is easy, and it is deeeelicious, both with and without alcohol - so take your pick! We start with ice, and then add ginger ale, about half-way full. The other half is 2/3 cranberry juice, and 1/3 gin - I prefer Hendricks but your choice! Top it all off with fresh cranberries, and voila - a perfect holiday cocktail or mocktail :)
Pecan Eggnog Coffee by Allie
This coffee is for those who definitely want a little more flavor or sweetness to their brew! Even though its cold outside, I still prefer iced coffee a lot of the time, so thats what I used for this recipe. I am a big fan of Chameleon Cold Brew, but it is very concentrated so you have to make sure to use 1 part concentrate, and 1 part water - otherwise it will have wayyyy too much caffeine. After that I added ice and soy "egg nog", topped with sprinkled cinnamon and 2 cinnamon sticks inside for a little extra :) Even though I usually add sugar to my coffee it wasn't necessary here. This is a great drink to serve at the beginning of a party, or even after dinner with decaf for dessert and maybe some whipped cream on top. Yes pleaseeee.
Bretlyn's Drinks
Bretlyn made a White Spiced Chai + Pear Thyme Prosecco. Now I wish she wasn't all the way in Seattle so she could make these for me... but if you're in the mood for either of these - see below for pictures - visit her blog at www.bretlynshea.com for the recipes (and/or awesome fashion tips and pics)
