Scene + Loved - February 2021

Hello! Welcome to February’s edition of scene + loved, with lots of great things - so lets get to it.

  • Dazzle Dry - before the ‘tine, I NEVER did my nails at home. Gel girl all the way. But of course, a stay at home order changed all that, and for Christmas my sister got me this Dazzle Dry starter kit and WOW - I have bought a ton more colors since then, and they truly last for 10+ days, which says a lot for me, because I constantly file and cut my nails, and they still stay on. Plus, if you buy the ridge filler, they look a little thicker and smoother, almost like a gel nail. The best part about it? The polish comes off with regular remover - no peeling or chipping away when they are too grown out. This is a big WIN for me.

  • Papaya reusable papertowels - I made a commitment to myself to make little changes to increase my use of sustainable products, and this one is AWESOME. These paper towels (about half the size of a sheet of paper) come in cute designs, and 1 towel lasts as long as 17 rolls of normal paper towels! Whats great about them (and made me choose them over a traditional towel or like dish rag) is that you can wash it in the dishwasher! They also come with a little hook so they can hang below the sink, on the wall etc. So I keep one by our bottle washing station, one by the sink, and one in my bathroom, so countertops always look nice and clean, without burning through paper towels.

  • Zara wool coat - I had been looking for a basic camel coat and this one checks all the boxes. Lightweight, great color, and REALLY great price point (around $50). Goes with everything and always in style.

  • Doorage - This moving and storage company is EVERYTHING. If you read the saga I posted on instagram about my cat, you know why I love Doorage. If you didn’t, read it here. But other than that, they are very reasonably priced, have outstanding customer service, and are just quick and efficient. That’s the most important thing to me when it comes to moving, and they make it so easy. They are also sustainable because they drop off reusable boxes that you pack up, so youre not wasting a ton of cardboard. We’re using them when we move to Atlanta too, and they are packing everything for us - I can’t wait!

  • Mini wine bottles - call me a lush, but sometimes I want a glass of wine on a Monday. (Bachelor, amiright!?) Well, I don’t want to open a whole bottle just for myself, so these little half bottles from Imagery are so perfect. They’re cheap and easy and I have been loving them for a great 1-1.5 glass a night situation.

  • A&f joggers - Obviously we are living in comfy clothes right now… and these ones from Abercrombie are so soft, nice and thick and just super comfortable. I like how they are more like an “old school” sweatpant, in that they are baggier than the joggers that a lot of brands are selling right now. They also have matching sweatshirts so you can create a set.

  • Alice & wonder sweatshirt - you all know I love this brand. They have the cutest stuff, and their “Home Sweet Chicago” line is just the best. This crewneck is realyl thick and great heavyweight quality - I know it will last forever.
